pcregrep software package provides grep utility that uses perl 5 compatible regexes., you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pcregrep
pcregrep is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pcregrep package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pcregrep *
You will get with pcregrep package name, version, architecture and description in a table
